Founded in 2019, Orderwerks was built from firsthand experience with the challenges of B2B ordering. We’re on a mission to help growing businesses turn order chaos into operational excellence.
Our Story
I was 14, working in my family's cabinetry and import business, when I realized something: a bad ordering system didn't just slow things down - it made you not want to sell that company's products at all.
Over the next 15 years as a manufacturers rep doing outside sales to dealers, I lived it from every angle. Out-of-date pricing. No visibility on order status. Sales, warehouse, delivery, and customers all working from different versions of reality. I knew exactly what needed to exist - I just didn't have the skills to build it yet.
So I spent 20+ years as a software engineer, working with startups through Fortune 100 companies, learning how to build software the right way - scalable, reliable, and engineered for real-world conditions. Then I combined both halves: 15 years of living the problem and 20 years of learning how to solve it properly.
Orderwerks isn't built by someone who studied the distribution industry from the outside. It's built by someone who carried the catalog, fought with the systems, and then spent two decades learning how to replace them.
